Delayed replies — Delayed replies are responses that arrive later than the survivor expects. A delay in a new relationship resembles communication patterns associated with the scam and revives fear or distrust. The emotional resemblance deserves attention without automatically establishing that the new person is behaving deceptively. — Trauma Responses
