Perceived Infringement — Perceived infringement describes a person’s interpretation that someone else has intruded upon something the person regards as belonging to them. Within a community, a member interprets a rule or leadership decision as interference with an established personal domain. The perception reflects that member’s understanding and does not itself demonstrate that the leader acted improperly. — Psychological Mechanism
