Recoveriness — Recoveriness is the comforting belief that being involved in recovery means meaningful healing is occurring, regardless of the quality of participation or application. It develops when a survivor treats attendance, reading, recovery language, or community membership as sufficient evidence of progress while avoiding careful reflection and changes in daily behavior. The term describes a gap between identifying as someone in recovery and engaging thoughtfully in the work, with progress assessed through understanding, practical application, and follow-through rather than activity alone. – Recovery Barrier
