Value Dissonance — Value dissonance describes tension between important values or between a person’s values and their actions. A survivor values generosity and loyalty while also valuing financial security and personal safety. Recognizing the competing priorities helps the survivor make decisions that preserve compassion while establishing boundaries against exploitation. — Values Conflict
